Like the movie? Want to support your local indie filmmaker? There are two ways to do it.

The "Tip Jar"
Click the "Make A Donation" button below to put money in the RED THREAD "tip jar." Your Paypal donation helps pay for the endless cost of promoting and disseminating an indie film. Every application to film festivals costs about $10 in materials (videotape, press kit with photos, postage) and that's not including the application fee.

Your donation is a way to support us as we put the film out there and also lets us know that you think we're on the right track -- fighting stereotypes by creating three-dimensional characters in situations we can all relate to. After all, who needs more stereotypes to replace old ones? What we need are new characters and stories!

Big heart, big movie-lover, and big wallet? We like you. Come on over and let's discuss further how you can donate to RED THREAD care of its fiscal sponsor, Visual Communications. VC is a not-for-profit community-based film arts advocacy group and mini-studio that hosts an annual film fest, assists indie productions with low-cost rentals, and lends indie productions their official 501c(3) status for fundraising purposes.

Donations made to RED THREAD c/o VC are 100% tax-deductible to the donor to the fullest extent allowed by the law. You'll get a letter from Cynematic Pictures/Tears in Rain Productions and Visual Communications documenting your donation which you can then use at tax time. You won't make big bucks but you can at least enjoy tax savings and know that you're supporting an Asian American filmmaker.

We can also tell you how to support upcoming projects with donations at levels that entail credit attribution on the project and/or other investor perks.
